About No Sleep Festival & Conference

The music programme of the upcoming No Sleep Festival, led by Amelie Lens, Reinier Zonneveld, Indira Paganotto, Partiboi69, and dozens of others, has just been complemented by the traditional No Sleep conference, which will bring the most current topics from the world of music to the Marsh Open Space (Cetinjska 15) on 11th and 12th of November, through specialised music workshops and educational conference content. The panellists will include Indira Paganotto, DJ Jock, Dejan Milićević, Dragan Ambrozić, and a number of music agents and managers. The conference starts at 3 p.m. on both days, admission is free and open to all interested parties, and the complete programme and schedule will be published on the No Sleep Festival website.

The conference starts on 11th of November with No Sleep Talks: Step into the Record Label Business, focusing on the ins and outs of starting one’s own label. Dejan Milićević, the founder of the label Tit0 (Tit Zero) Recordings, and Miloš Ivanović, representing Midget Unit Records, will share their experiences with defining, developing, and positioning a publishing house on the market, as well as copyright and music distribution.

The topic of the panel Festivals in 2023: Turning Challenges into Opportunities will be the impact of the global crisis on organising festivals and music events. Festival and concert organisers are still feeling the effects of the pandemic, and this crisis is deepened by the inflation, which reflects in the multi-fold increase in event production costs in Europe and the world. Music critic and programme editor at Dom Omladine Dragan Ambrozić, CEO of Lovefest Zlatana Pavlović, regional PR manager of the Croatian festival Sonus and We Love Sound event Lana Borić, and Rastko Andrić in front of EXIT, Sea Star and Sea Dance Festival will discuss these hot topics.

The second day of the conference, 12th of November, is reserved for Jock’s Classroom: Music Production Masterclass, where famous Split producer and DJ Jock will share his tips and tricks on music production. For over a decade, Jock has stood out as an internationally acclaimed, multiple-award-winning producer and DJ from the region, with releases for leading labels, such as Carl Cox’s Intec.

This year’s No Sleep conference will close with the HEMI Panel The Art of Building an Artist’s Career. HEMI Project is supported by the Creative Europe programme, and the panel will feature producer/DJ Indira Paganotto, her manager and agent Alessandro Avanzato from the Beatside Bookings AgencyDJ Jock, frontman of the band Vizelj Aleksa Nedić, as well as the founder and director of the marketing agency specialising in the music business Voltage Circus Gernot Müller, who works closely with club Amnesia in Ibiza, MagdalenaRodriguez Jr, Gery Beck and many other artists. Prominent names from the music industry will answer questions about how to position yourself and develop as an artist, build a music portfolio, and find a suitable label. They will also provide helpful marketing tips and advices for musicians.

The music programme of the No Sleep Festival in the Main Hangar of the Port of Belgrade is led by today’s most sought-after techno stars and ticket-sales record holders Amelie Lens and Reinier Zonneveld, Indira Paganotto and Partiboi69, who will have their debut performances in Belgrade, as well as the Madrid artist Regal, a representative of the Parisian underground scene Koboyo, Dutch rising star Kiki Solvej, DJ Jock and Katalina.
