Lia Hide is dark, avant-pop. She has released 4 studio albums:
‘Home’ (2013), self-produced, released by EMI-Universal – ‘Eveyone Seems to Know Who I Am'(2017) self-release, self-produced, mastered by the multi-Grammy awarded Adam Ayan – ‘TellsNo Fairytales’ (2019) self-release, self-produced – a Remixes album ‘Fairytales Remixedd’ (AmourRecords, 2020), instrumental music commissioned for the Dance Drama (Genoktonia, 2018), and has collaborated in numerous compilations in Europe, with prestigious producers and artists. LiaHide’s latest, fourth studio album (04/04/22) is out by the US indie label Conch Town Records. LiaHide collaborate with Adam Ayan (mastering), Denis Blackham (mastering), Giannis Lampropoulos(mixing) and Ian Shaw (mixing) and with videomakers Kiss the Frog.
Lia Hide has toured Europe and Greece extensively and has completed three major European tours in more than 10 countries, and many minor ones, and has also performed in the US and Canada. She was also invited to perform in major Greek and European Festivals and has shared the stage with Tricky, Kovacs, Keep Shelly in Athens, Kadebostany, Joseph Van Wissem, AnnekeVan Giersbergen, Molly Nilsson, KBHTA and many more. She’s also performed in the Ancient Theater of Nemea, the Lycabetus Theater, and Athens Concert Music Hall. Lia Hide’s 2019 European Tour was a 40-day venture, visiting 10 countries, performing in 28 cities.
Lia Hide is a composer, singer-songwriter, arranger, producer, video editor and music educator. She holds an MMus in Songwriting (Bath Spa University), Bachelor of Arts (the American College of Greece), Licentiate in Piano Performance (Hons, Guildhall School of Music and Drama), Associate in Business Administration (the American College of Greece), and Soloist’s PerformanceDiploma in Classical Piano and Classical Singing (both with Highest Distinction & 1stPrize). She has also studied Jazz piano and improvisation and also plays the guitar and electric bass. She is a highly skilled vocalist and a virtuoso pianist, she speaks Greek, English and German, and also sings in Italian and French. Lia Hide is always accompanied by Aki’Base on bass, George Rado on drums and when convenient, Dennis Morfis, guitar, and Stelios Chatzikaleas, trumpet.
Notable Moments:
2005 – Lia Hide has performed at the 3rdNemea Ancient Games Revival, at The Berkeley UCTheater, at Berkeley University, as a Greek cultural ambassador, invited by Professor Steven Miller, and she collaborated with UC Jazz Ensemble.
2012 – Lia Hide performed at Melodrama Festival, Wroclaw, Poland, a theatrical musical performance based on the Greek Tradition of the folk tale, myth and fairytale.
