Balkanrock is a regional web magazine-type portal, similar to world’s leading music publications in terms of editing policies. The portal was founded in 2007 with a clear vision to establish itself as a meeting place of all the lovers of rock and roll, metal, punk and alternative music in the region (Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Montenegro, FYROM).
Our goals are to provide you with relevant informative news daily, to bring the atmosphere and the vibe of musical events in the region and beyond to you and to establish a closer connection between you and the artists through interviews and analytical articles. Lastly, but bearing no less importance, one of our goals is to discover and expose up and coming stars, helping them find the way to your hearts.
Our team of more than 50 young journalists, photographers and editors is working daily on news articles, reports, interviews, as well as periodical columns and analytical texts for sections and series Pažljivo slušaj (Listen carefully), Kratki Rezovi (Short Cuts), Gospodari Pesme (Lords of Song) etc. Not only do these promote and help the rock culture in Balkan area, but they also serve as a deeper insight into our beloved genre.
