SoundCzech reveals the 2020 digital edition of CEEntral Party

CEENtral party, a conference focusing on the Central and Southeastern European  countries and their music markets is happening online on Nov 28.

A full day of panels, workshops, networking, plus one special streaming from London, it’s all going to be free for everyone! Here is the full fascinating program:

Workshops:

11:00 BandCamp workshop with Aly Giliani. Tricks and ideas about how to use all features that BandCamp has to offer the best way possible.
Aly Gillani is the European Label Rep for Bandcamp, a thriving, global music community where fans discover new artists, intimately connect with them, and directly compensate them for their work. Aly’s role involves expanding and managing the growing network of labels using the site to connect with their fans.

12:00 Brexit real impacts- Ian Smith (Frusion agency)
“So you want to play in the UK after Brexit, and you still want to play in the EU… well, good news you still can, and its easier than you might think !”
Led by Ian Smith, CEO of two key international agencies based in the UK and Austria for 20 years and founder of UKEARSWORK, a free fact-checked information initiative to keep creatives working in both directions with minimal disruption after Brexit.

13:00 Be social cleverly – Zsuzsi Berta (social media strategist, head of digital marketing – A38)
CEEntral Party have asked the social media strategist of the legendary Budapest venue A38 to offer a unique take on how to communicate effectively on social media. What are the messages to avoid? How to build communities, and how to make the most of your creativity.

14:00 Effective use of Music tech, and a short overview on the music value chain with Yvan Boudillet.
Value Gap? Blockchain? Let’s talk for once about the moving Music Value Chain and look back to the Future of the Music Industry, as the digital revolution has become the new normal.
Yvan Boudillet is a Digital Entertainment Expert with over ten years experience in leading digital development and consumer strategy for EMI and Warner Music in France. As the Founder of the advisory agency TheLynk and the Entertainment Lead at Startup Sesame, Yvan connects the dots between startups and creative industries.

15:00 Sane-tizer / staying sane in times of crisis
The tragic level of mental health in the music sector was already a topic, when the year of lockdown started, pushing so many over the edge by a non-concert-season ..

With the help of a Zoltan Kővary (musician/ psychologist), we aim to initiate an interactive workshop session, to talk about often recurring issues, and how to help ourselves.

14:00-16:00 CsEE Music Market introduction – in a panel set-up, we introduce the music sector of CsEE countries. All you need to know about demographics, popular music genres, live-recording-sector, music services, and best access points to start at the following countries.

14:00- 15:00 pt. 1. – get to know the countries: Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Poland
15:00- 16:00 pt. 2. Greece, Romania, Serbia, Estonia, Macedonia

16:00-16:15 HEMIsphere- Introduction of the new music boost program that bridges 10 partners from Estonia to Greece.

17:00- David and Goliath-
The Teutonic plates of the music sector reality are shaken, and while some made a huge fortune on the lockdown, many got pushed to leave music for good in order to survive…

BUT- What does that mean? What is the future of major multi-genre festivals? Sold out headliners at stadiums? How big is too big? Will major investors buy up all that left after the warriors budget dried out? We invited stakeholders of the different fields of music, agency, festival, labels… to dream a better future with us.
